The Xooms 10.1-inch screen actually feels smaller than it is. Compared to most tablets the Xoom has a wide screen. This wider screen combined with the landscape-oriented positioning makes the Xoom a perfect fit for use in a landscape view. This is as opposed to the iPad whose design is geared towards portraits.
Motorola has slimmed down the device by installing a 0.5-inch bezel around the screen. When you hold the Xoom in portrait, the thin bezel makes it easy to use your thumbs on the screen making typing easier. The Xoom’s keyboard is large and has well-spaced virtual keys. This is vital as the typing performance in both landscape and portrait is great. The keyboard enables the user to multi touch which helps in speed typing. The device has a dedicated tab as well as emoticon keys, and a button that helps you to switch quickly to keyboard settings. The front-facing 2-megapixel camera that is geared towards video chatting is also included on the Xoom. The tablet has plenty of other features. It has a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.
The Xoom has Bluetooth 2.1 support for audio and peripheral support and sensors that allow for screen brightness. The Wi-Fi antenna supports bands up to 802.11n.
